The chalet is strongly built, has well-sealed double-glazed doors and windows and an insulated, tiled roof. Suitable for year-round use, it's liveable or could be used as an office or workshop space.
Adjacent to the Bergerie, it opens on to a big decked terrace. Its 23 square metres provide a roomy, high ceilinged living and dining area with lots of light, and a corner kitchenette with sink, hot plate, fridge, some cupboard space and slot for a mini-oven or microwave.
Off this room are two compact bedrooms, each around 4 square metres, which fit a double bed. There's also a shower room, with loo, washbasin and cubicle shower. A step ladder gives access to a mezzanine storage area above the bedrooms and bathroom.
The Chalet has mains electricity with its own bank on the primary board and a secondary panel within, and mains water and drainage connections shared with the house. An electric immersion heater feeds the shower and sinks. With well-sealed double glazing and shutters it's easy to heat in winter, whilst also maintainable at an acceptable temperature in summer.
With a different aspect and its own outdoor parking and relaxation space, the Chalet has privacy from the Bergerie. It offers income potential as a residential let or self catering holiday rental for a single person or couple, or could alternatively be used with the house to make a total sleeping capacity of up to of 9. We use it as a quiet office space, and the bedrooms are occupied when we have a full house. However you use it, it adds great flexibility to the property.
